Dumbledore's Army, the international network for Harry Potter related websites opens a website for the public and it wants to become more and more active from now on.
There’s hardly another story like Harry Potter which a that massive fandom. For more than 10 years there’s Harry Potter Fandom all around the world and there are hundreds and thousands of Harry Potter Websites. It’s strange that within this time never a network came into existance which to enforce mutual support and collaboration and which keeps the Fandom together.
What was missing for more than a decade, is now real!
Dumbledore’s Army, or the DA is an unique international network for Harry Potter related websites with the aim to improve things for Harry Potter websites. The network will care for better contacts and support among the websites with a forum accessible to members only. Another important aim of the DA is to keep the Harry Potter Fandom together to make sure there will be always enough information and activity for all Harry Potter fans. A third very important function is the ability to operate in way bigger dimensions than single websites can do, what can be among other things quite helpful for all members. So in some way the DA is simply a lobby for HP websites as well.
This sounds like a really great plan and facts even verify that:
20 Harry Potter websites are DA members already, what’s absolutely sensational for an organisation which exists for not longer than 2 ½ months! And now as there is an own website as well the number of members will grow for a multiple!
The organisation has practically advantages only, membership is free of charge, non binding and possible for every Webmaster of a passably acceptable Harry Potter website. So it’s a real „Must Have“ for every Harry Potter website.
Websites about actors performing in Harry Potter may become DA members as well. It is a huge concern to the DA to support the actors even after the seventh movie with their projects, even if they do not deal with Harry Potter. That way the Fandom isn’t just supplied with information about HP but with information on the projects of the actors as well.
